The science of how art influences human nature is complex and evolves with humanity as we change. As both a neuroscientist as well as an artist, I aim to understand these nuances and work towards a cohesive art/science experience. I use my knowledge of the inter-workings of the brain to provide designs that work with our minds instead of against them.
I use both design thinking and analytical strategies of both qualitative and quantitative data to provide a robust background for creating user-centered work. I gain inspiration from natural movement while often referencing historical motifs, like the Art Nouveau movement. My ultimate goal for my work is to provide an organic user experience while incorporating a whimsical air to my art.
Originally from southeastern Wisconsin, I am currently located in St. Paul.
film photography
I love to take film photos especially when I travel. They have so much character and look so unique.
As any good film photographer, I have buckets of undeveloped film (because I’m cheap). I love a good expensive hobby.
Sometimes I use my dad’s Canon, other times I use an Ilford point-and-shoot (which is much easier to travel with). I recently inherited my grandma’s Fujifilm point and shoot but haven’t had a chance to test it out yet!
